 | Rev. Steve Wilson - Pastor Pastor Steve has served as pastor at First Baptist since March 1, 2001. He is married to Lucy and they have 2 married sons (Paul & Mark), 2 Christian daughter-in-laws (Janice & Carrie) and 5 wonderful grandchildren (Megan, Joshua, Jessica, Jacob and Amelia). Pastor Steve received his BA from the U.S. Naval Academy (1972), served 5 years as a naval officer, attended Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest (graduating in 1980), was ordained to the Gospel ministry on December 4, 1977, and has served as pastor for 3 other Southern Baptist churches in North Carolina. His hobbies are reading, collecting silver dollars, and adding to his tie collection [though he'd prefer not to wear one]. |

 | Mrs. Lucy Wilson Lucy is the wife of our pastor, Steve Wilson, and enjoys serving the Lord by his side here at First Baptist as our pianist. An ever-growing joy is sharing their married children and grandchildren together. Lucy graduated from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA, with a B.A. in English and Southeastern Theological Seminary, Wake Forest, NC, with a Masters of Religious Education. She served as a church secretary for Steve in their last pastorate for 9 years and presently serves as a part-time secretary for South China Grove Baptist Church. Playing the piano at each church they have ministered in, she has been an accompanist for about 20 years. She also uses her gifts at First Baptist as a Sunday School Teacher, Assistant Sunday School Director, choir member and partners with Steve as a busy pastor's wife. Some of her hobbies are sewing, reading, walking, and scrapbooking. |
 | Mrs. Teresa Poole - Church Secretary Mrs. Teresa is married to Doug, whom she met on a blind date when she was 16. They have 3 sons (Olee, Jacob, and Joseph), a daughter (Destiny) and a step-daughter (Debbie). They are the proud grandparents of 6 grandchildren (Trent, Brittany, Conner, Drew, Makenzie Jo and Emme). She has worked as a church secretary since 1994 and is thankful and joyful about being part the First Baptist Team. |
